Customer
The Customer is one of Europe’s major providers of IT and R&D services. It offers clients worldwide design and development services for embedded systems, goods, and parts. The concentration is on mobile, access, and switching applications in communications, as well as on specialized areas in the automation and medical industries.
Challenge
The client’s side had very strict security requirements for the Customer. Therefore, a comprehensive information security management system, comprising the creation of security policies, the deployment of security measures and controls, employee training, and the successful completion of a challenging ISO 27001 certification audit, had to be created from scratch. In order to achieve this goal at its best, the Customer turned to Kaprikorni for professional assistance.
Solution
The Customer hired an outside Kaprikorni information security expert and formed an internal ISMS deployment team. The team implemented each required control in compliance with ISO 27001 regulations, guided by the information security leader. In addition, the international certification body Bureau Veritas successfully certified the ISMS that was put into place.
Additionally, a solid automated security architecture was created and later made available to customers as a stand-alone product.
Results
